Tom Faber, MD, MPH – Co-Director
Tom Faber, MD, MPH is a pediatrician and Clinical Director of the Zuni Indian Health Service (IHS) Hospital. He moved to Zuni in 2006 and helped found the organization. He enjoys coaching youth sports (especially soccer) and spending time with his wife and three kids.
Joseph Claunch, PhD - Co-Director
Joseph Claunch is a member of the Puyallup Tribe in Tacoma, Washington and graduated with his Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from University of Kansas. Joseph is ZYEP’s co-director and his interests include being with his wife and three children, sport, exercise, being in nature, and reading.
Andrea Pepin - Program Coordinator
Andrea moved to Zuni in 2014 and joined Zuni Youth Enrichment Project in the winter of 2016 as the Program Coordinator. With a masters in Kinesiolagy, she is excited to share her passion of improving the health of others through physical activity and nutrition with children and families.
Avery Tolth - Physical Activities Coordinator
Avery Tolth is our Physical Activities Coordinator for ZYEP, he moved to Zuni in 2012 and officially became a ZYEP team member in the fall of 2015. With diverse skills and interests, Avery leads our trail and fitness station work and is instrumental in our youth sports leagues. Avery believes in the importance of physical activity to the health of community children and is eager to expand his work.
Jessica Quinlan, MPH, RD - Nutrition Education Coordinator
Jessica came to Zuni in 2008 to serve as the Registered Dietitian at Zuni's Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Since then, Jessica has collaborated with ZYEP on several garden projects, and offered garden-based nutrition education at ZYEP summer camps. After getting her Master's in Public Health from the University of Arizona, Jessica officially joined ZYEP in August 2018 as the part-time Nutrition Education Coordinator. She is excited to support ZYEP's misson of building resilience and enriching the lives of Zuni youth and families.
Shelley Edaakie - Office Manager
Shelley was born and raised in Zuni. She joined Zuni Youth Enrichment Project in the summer of 2016. With a Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography and Graphic Design, as well as a background in Zuni pottery, she is excited to share her knowledge of the Zuni culture and art.
