The First Nations Development Institute announced in August that it would dedicate $20,000 of its Native Youth and Culture Fund to a leadership program organized by ZYEP.
Thanks to the support from this fund, 15 Zuni youth will participate in a ZYEP leadership retreat designed to teach them the skills and knowledge they need to mentor younger community members.
After the retreat, these 15 youth will host a camp for 65 youth ages 6-11. We are grateful to First Nations Development Institute for their support and look forward to seeing these Zuni youth develop into true community leaders.
